Celeste Immersive Engine
The Celeste Immersive Engine was developed by MUS’ originating venture engine, veteran-founded Toro Science Corporation. The spatial computing engine was commissioned by the US military to solve a critical problem: Redefine immersive technology for training at scale. From this mission Toro developed Celeste: The proprietary spatial computing engine designed to move beyond traditional VR, delivering high-impact immersive training and storytelling across massive screens, in advanced spatial audio, via purpose-built experiences.
Through multiple awarded development contracts, the military-grade tech evolved rapidly, ultimately breaking free of all headset-based limitations, into shared, high-impact immersive environments.
The Celeste Spatial Computing Engine is the foundation and engine for MUS immersive’s new event cinema window and venue network.
Starting with MUS immersive’s New York flagship in 2026, Celeste Immersive Screening Lounges will expand nationally in 2027, building the exhibition network for immersive storytelling. Working with leading creatives, brands, studios, franchises, and rights holders, MUS is bringing cinematic and narrative massive immersive to audiences and opening a new event cinema window.

Origin Story of MUS immersive
MUS immersive was born out of Toro Science Corporation, a venture studio
focused on developing advanced technologies through government partnerships
before commercializing them at scale.
Following a multi-year collaboration with the United States Air Force and
AFWERX, Toro Science developed the Celeste Spatial Engine to address a
critical need in military training: Delivering immersive, high-impact experiences
without the limitations of head-mounted devices.
What began as a solution for advanced training evolved rapidly through multiple
awarded development efforts, resulting in a breakthrough spatial computing
platform capable of transforming standard and AI-generated video into fully
navigable 360° environments across large-format displays with integrated spatial
audio. As the technology matured, its dual-use potential became clear.
Recognizing a significant opportunity in entertainment and media, Toro Science
assembled a team of seasoned film and media executives to launch Modern Uprising Studios as an independent company. This strategic spinout allows MUS to
focus on commercial applications, while maintaining ownership to the underlying
technology and innovation pipeline.
